Harry Nott
Writer - Script Editor - Development Consultant
Hi, my name is Harry. I'm a screenwriter and script editor based in South London, but originally from rural West Yorkshire.
I've spent the last five years as a development consultant for screenplays, reviewing scripts for Oscar-winning German production company Beta Film, Allan Scott, creator of The Queen's Gambit and Australian viral comedy pioneers Haven't You Done Well Productions, among others.
I focus on delivering practical, craft-focused feedback and coverage that gets to the heart of the project I'm working with. Whether you're a first time writer spreading their wings or a producer looking to stress test their project, I offer a wide range of custom notes, editing, coverage and development services to bring out your best work.
Clients
Alongside working with hundreds of individual writers on their screenplays, games and narratives, my services have been trusted by the creatives and executives behind some of the biggest hits in film, television and gaming.
This international scope has taken me from coordinating the Jed Mercurio Mentorship Programme for screenwriters from under-represented backgrounds to script editing the fourth season of BBC Studios India's Criminal Justice. In that time, I've also served on the screenwriting competition jury for the Manchester International Film Festival from 2023 to 2025, while crafting exclusive writing guides for Raindance and Celtx, amongst dealing with many other clients.
I should also mention now that I'm also the founder and vocalist of
a moderately successful metal band named Burner.
Writing Projects
In Your Hands (2019) - A social thriller exploring London knife crime through the eyes of a teenager perpetrator.
Survivor (2022) - A surreal romance-thriller following a survivalist in rural England.
Currently, I'm developing several screenplays, ranging from comedy-horrors on feuding death metal bands fighting for their lives and the bizzare haunting of an office worker by a phantom milkman, to a biopic on one of meteorology's most infamous figures and a grisly vegan horror set in West Yorkshire.
